Gravely 260Z Zero Turn Sit On Mower
Presented here is the 1:12th scale Gravely 260Z commercial zero turn 60" mover. The model is an amazing replica of the real machine with a whole host of functioning details.
The rear tyres have an amazing molded tread pattern which is an exact likeness for the grass tyres fitted to the full sized machine. The rear wheels freely rotate while the front mounted bogie wheels feature 360 degree rotation which gives the machine its zero turn ability. The rear engine cover has flexible black plastic lockdown toggles which fit in the holes on the cover and removing these allow the entire cover and seat assembly to tip forward giving access to the fully reproduced engine compartment. There is even a rope stop on the model to prevent the seat assembly from tilting forward too far..
Everything on the life sized machine is replicated on the model with an amazing level of detail. The battery compartment has cables running from the batteries, a rotating cooling fan is fitted and the radiator has flexible rubber pipes fitted to the in and out valves. The top mounted air filter is present along with a finely detailed engine block and exhaust silencer while two plastic fuel tanks are fitted to the sides. All warning and information labels are clearly visible inside the engine compartment and the rear frame has the GRAVELY name stamped through the rear panel.
The model has three spindles which have rotating cutting blades fitted that are driven by a series of rubber belts. Access to the belt drive is achieved by lifting the footwell panel which reveals the simulated belt tensioning system which uses a spring to keep the belts tight on the pulleys. The entire mower assembly frame is free floating with a foot operated lifting mechanism employed to raise the cutter off the deck. The discharge chute on the end of the cutter housing is made of contoured flexible rubber, just like on the full sized machine.
The controls are all fully replicated on the model with the control panel housing the PTO engagement button along with various switches and temperature guage. The parking brake lever is fitted along with the main control levers which feature tilting handles to give easier access to get on and off the mower. The contoured seat is made of rubber and has a sliding mechanism allowing the seat to be adjusted. They have even added the seat adjustment controls to finish off another museum quality model.
